1. Player Red Cards
Any player receiving a red card shall be suspended for 1 game. He will not be eligible for the player pass rule during this suspension. No player may compete on another team within the club until suspension has been served with said team. If a player receives a 2nd red card during a season, the player shall be suspended for the remainder of the season, a season is considered fall and spring. If the red card is issued as a result of physical activity (punching, kicking, biting or any other infraction deemed inappropriate by the GSYSL executive board) the player shall be suspended for the rest of the season. Any player receiving a red card shall be suspended for 1 game. The red carded player will not be eligible for the player pass rule during this suspension. This also includes a player who is double rostered with two teams playing in GSYSL. No player may compete on another team within GSYSL until suspension has been served with the team he received the red card for.If a player is sent off, the league requires the following procedure to be used:No youth player shall be ordered by the referee to leave the premises.The player may remain on the bench area provided they remove their jersey, put on warm-up jacket or similar action while on the bench. The coaches shall be informed the player may not act in an inappropriate manner for the remainder of the match.A player may not go to the spectator side of the fieldA player may leave the vicinity of the field area. In this situation, the age level of the players must be considered. The safety of the player is the first concern even in a send off situation.During a tournament situation, a designated location under the supervision of tournament staff may be designated for players to sit after being sent off. In this situation, a tournament official or coach should escort the player to the designated location.If the player continues to act in an inappropriate manner, you have the authority to ask the coach to control the player in question or terminate the match. In either of these situations, the behavior must be reported via USSF Referee Report to the league and the SRA2. Coach Suspension
Any coach receiving an ejection shall be suspended for his next 3 GSYSL games and shall not be allowed on the venue. If a coach receives a second ejection at any time during their GSYSL coaching career the coach shall be suspended for the current season and shall have to apply to the GSYSL disciplinary committee for reinstatement to the league. If an ejection is a result of physical abuse and/or activity (punching, kicking, biting, spitting or any other infraction deemed inappropriate by the GSYSL executive board) the coach shall receive a life-time suspension from GSYSL . The coach shall have the right to appeal the decision. The appeal must be presented within fourteen (14) days of the notification from the GSYSL executive board. The appeal shall be presented to the GSYSL Chair.If a coach is dismissed in a situation where there is no assistant coach available at the game, the game must be terminated “as there must be a rostered coach on the bench side of the field for the game to continue”. There is no exception to this policy of US Youth Soccer and Granite State Soccer League.
