In accordance with US Soccer recommendations beginning in the Fall of 2010, GSYSL will institute 8v8 as the exclusive format for U12 age groups. League rosters for 8v8 will continue to allow 16 players for league play, however teams participating in State Cup are limited to a 14 player roster''
