Granite State Youth Soccer League is pleased to announce the following program

This information is also posted on the GSYSL Referee page along with a status report for referees who have submitted worksheets. All Worksheets are due 30 days from the end of each season

The Purpose:

• Encourage Experienced Referees to referee GSYSL games
• Encourage All Referees to attend the GSYSL Referee Camp
• Encourage Referees to meet Advanced Educational Standards
• Implement a Mentoring Program for GSYSL games
• Reward Experienced Referees to Referee/ Mentor GSYSL games
• Set Standards for receiving incentives

GSYSL Referee Incentive Program

This is a point reward system which Referees can earn by participating in GSYSL Referee programs and refereeing GSYSL games each year.

You must submit your qualifications at the end of each season to have points awarded.

Here are the Point System Levels: also see pre-qualifications

Level 3 Referee - 250 points

Level 2 Referee - 500 points or qualified Grade 7 Referee

Level 1 Referee - 700 points or qualified Grade 6 or 5 and higher Referee

Points are accumulative- once you attain Level 1 you retain that status.

Here are the Programs for earning points:

All points accumulate annually until Level 1 is achieved.

50 points- Attendance to Annual GSYSL Referee Camp

25 points- Mentoring at GSYSL Referee camp - each day

1 points- GSYSL game assignments for a season - 1 point per game

5 points- GSYSL League Championship game assignment – 5 points per game

10 points- Mentoring** - each report - GSYSL games only

10 points- Mentoring at GSYSL Fall Tournament - report required per game

20 points- Request / Confirm game in area where NRA - games designated by Assignor only

25 points- Participation in GSYSL Referee Game Day Clinics - TBA

There will be point deductions of:

20 points- No Show Referee for assigned game

20 points- Turn back assigned game within 24 hrs of game time (without adequate notification )

20 points- Failure to submit game score

20 points- Report from Mentor indicating lack of Professional Appearance or Behavior

** Must complete a GSYSL/NHSA Mentor Seminar - be 19 yrs old or older and have a minimum of 7 years experience

Here are some Pre-Qualifications:

If you have refereed in GSYSL in the last 4 seasons prior to F2007 and do not qualify for the requirements below you may submit a game count for points based on 1 point per GSYSL League games ONLY.

A Referee with 8 or more years experience and has refereed 15 GSYSL games or more each season in the last 4 seasons prior to F2007 will be awarded Level 3 Status upon application

Any Grade 7 Referee will be awarded Level 2 Status upon application.

Any Grade 6, 5 or higher Referee will be awarded Level 1 Status upon application.

All application/qualifications will be subject to approval by the League Assignor. The League Assignor will keep all information on file and tabulate annual qualifications submitted by referees.
